A delegation from the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), headed by Bernard Leroy, paid a visit to the Egyptian Fund for Drug Control and Addiction Treatment.
The visit made by the INCB is the first of its kind to Egypt and aims to let its members get acquainted with the Egyptian experience in combating drug addiction.
Director of the Fund for Drug Control and Addiction Treatment Amr Osman reviewed the fund's efforts to implement the national plan to confront drug addiction and raise school students' awareness of the dangers of smoking, the fund affiliated to the Ministry of Social Solidarity said in a Thursday statement.
The INCB delegation lauded the fund's efforts, asserting the importance of applying scientific research to be posted on the dimensions of drug addiction phenomenon.
