Cairo - MENA
The blood samples taken from 840 residents living in the outskirts of al Adayma village in Esa, Luxor, proved they were free from Malaria, the Health Ministry said Saturday.
In an official statement after news reports claiming the existence of the mosquitoes, transferring the Malaria epidemic, in the area, the ministry refuted such claims citing the results of tests conducted on 840 blood samples.
It also said the tests conducted on the stagnant waters in the village revealed that there were no larvae causing the Malaria.
The ministry urged news outlets to be accurate in reporting.
