Over 58,000 tons of meat seized for being not suitable for human use

As many as 58,647 tons of meat

As many as 58,647 tons of meat and poultry were seized in April in several governorates for being not fit for human consumption, according to a statement of the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday.
This came as part of a monitoring campaign of the General Authority for Veterinary Services on the markets and shops.
Meanwhile, Minister of Agriculture Abdel Moneim el Banna reiterated intensifying supervision on the markets and outlets that sell meat to guarantee safe and healthy food for the citizens.
