Saudi Arabia reported 18 confirmed new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) corona virus cases, 13 males and five females, during the last week of February, Health ministry said Sunday.
The ministry said that the ages of patients diagnosed in the ministry's laboratory range between 24 to 91 years old.
In its weekly bulletin quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry said 12 of the cases were in Riyadh, one in Al-Hasa, one in Khobar, in Najran, Buraidah, and one in Al-Jouf.
The patients include nine Saudis, three Yemenis, and two from the Philippine, while one Egyptian, one Indian, one Sudanese, and one Syrian.
The virus killed 396 individuals out of total 927 cases in the country since 2012.
The cases were among locals and expatriates as well as medics who were associated with patients.
