President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Saturday with Health Minister Emad Eddine Rady to discuss ways of improving the health services in Egypt.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the action plan of the Health Ministry, which includes providing health insurance for citizens, improving services at public hospitals, upgrading the nursery sector, providing medication and developing the medicine industry, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The president stressed the importance of producing drugs in Egypt of high quality and at lower prices and facilitating measures of detecting diseases and developing the pharmaceuticals sector.
He also directed to increase the number of the Egyptian physicians delegated abroad to hone their skills and receive high level training in order to upgrade the medical system in Egypt and improve the health services.
The spokesman added that the president stressed the attention paid by the state to the health sector, calling for upgrading all aspects of the medical system to provide unique services to the Egyptian people, especially the low-income brackets.
