Taiwan culled 120,000 chickens in a farm where H5N2 avian influenza was confirmed, officials said Friday, according to dpa.
The farm in the southern county of Pingtung declared several deaths in December, state-run Central News Agency reported.
'All farms within 3 kilometres of the affected farm will be closely monitored for three months,' said Chang Su-san director-general of the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine.
