The United Arab Emirates on Wednesday advised its nationals against travelling to India in the time being due the widespread swine flu (H1N1) outbreak which has so far infected nearly 20,000 people, and killed over 1,000 there.
Meanwhile, Emirati citizens currently present in the country have been told by the Foreign Ministry to steer clear of heavily-infected areas.
The warning has been issued in the course of the UAE's commitment to the safety and security of its nationals who are travelling abroad, read a Foreign Ministry statement, quoting official Rashed Al-Dhaheri.
