The incoming envoy of the United Nations Children\'s Fund (UNICEF) in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi praised Iran for its progress and achievements in area of hygiene, and voiced the UN body\'s eagerness to use Tehran\'s experiences in the field.\"We seek to use the experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran (in the field of hygiene) as our partner,\" Mohamed Monir Safieddin said during the meeting in Tehran on Monday. He also said that Iran\'s progress and success in enhancing the level of hygiene in the country has made it a role model for the other nations.Elsewhere, Safieddin praised Iran for its good achievements and facilities for children, and said all indices of economic and social development indicate Iran has made remarkable progress and achievements in this arena. His remarks came a day after another UN body demanded Iran\'s help and asked Tehran to provide it with its successful experiences and knowledge. On Sunday, Head of the Shelter Branch at the UN Human Settlements Program Mohamed El Sioufi praised Iran for the mass-construction of beautiful and strong houses in the country, and said the UN plans to provide other states with Iran\'s experiences in this field. \"The UN Human Settlements Program intends to provide other countries in the region with Iran\'s experiences in house construction and introduce Iran\'s experiences, specially in this arena, to the world,\" Sioufi said after visiting a housing project near Tehran yesterday. He referred to the contracts signed between Iran and other countries, including Venezuela, Iraq and Syria, for building a large number of houses in those countries, and said Iran with its management and engineering skills can play a main role in strengthening different buildings, specially against earthquake.
