My exercise regime My profession requires me to follow a dedicated and intense exercise regime. Yoga is an integral part of my daily work out. In addition to Yoga, I also do cardio. I work out for an hour daily, sometimes more. My exercise routine involves push-ups, squats, lunges and such other exercises. On days that I am unable to hit the gym, I make it a point to walk for 30 minutes. However, for results you need to keep your body guessing by challenging it before it gets comfortable with any particular routine. My diet I start my day by eating a tasty and low fat breakfast cereal, as part of a healthy lifestyle. One of the easiest ways to kick-start your metabolism is by having breakfast. Research shows that people who eat a low-fat breakfast tend to be slimmer than those who don't. I always break my meals into smaller ones and control my portions. My lunch typically includes rotis, one vegetable preparation and a small bowl of daal. For dinner, I mainly go with salads and soups. Being a vegetarian, I make sure I eat enough raw fruits and vegetables. I make it a point to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily. My problem areas A lot of times as an actor I am forced to comply with erratic schedules, long work hours, difference in time zones and a lot of time has to be cut back on sleep. This soon leaves me feeling tired and with no immunity, so I have to balance out my lifestyle with early nights, healthy eating, meditation, yoga and my workouts and be disciplined about it. My strengths I am disciplined and tend to stick to my workout regime and eating habit and adhere to them strictly.
