Egyptian actress Menna Shalby revealed a number of her artistic secrets, saying that “Sunset Oasis” TV drama show is considered a huge work discussing the relation between different cultures. It discusses the story of an officer working in Egypt’s Siwa and lives with his western wife who loves the Egyptian archeological sites. The series discusses the relation between different civilizations in different eras. She praised the producing company, saying that it performed a major role to support her for participating in this work.

She added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, “Such works I cannot refuse because of their intellectual depth. It will turn a new page in the Egyptian drama history.” She expressed her appreciation to Egyptian actor Khaled Al Nabawy, saying that he is respectable actor who works to perform well in his different work to meet the aspirations of his fans.

She said that she was preoccupied in working in cinema during the recent days, adding that she accepts any different role. She stressed her keenness to diversify her roles to meet the expectations of her fans in all over the Arab world.

She called critics not to assess the artistic works before their presentation, saying that they should wait to issue the right judgement. She refused the criticism against her role in “The Originals” before its presentation.

She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that she refuses what she described as hollow criticism, saying that the criticism should be constructive. She added, “I advise those people who criticized the film to watch it first. She praised the role performed by her mother to support her in the career.

She stressed that she has not decided to take the step of marriage during the current period, saying that she prefers not to marry if such a step would lead her to failure. She expressed her satisfaction over the works she presented since the beginning of her career, including Spies’ War, Jews’ District, and Where is My Heart. She revealed that she spends her free time in shopping, travelling, and watching American films, saying that she likes also swimming.
