Eleven persons were killed and 40 others injured when a bus collided with a truck on Beni Suef-Cairo road. The bus and the truck overturned and fell off a bridge on the Beni Suef Eastern road.

In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Health Ministry Spokesman Khaled Megahed said that the dead were moved to the morgue of Beni Suef General Hospital.

He added that 23 ambulances were dispatched to the site of the accident to transfer the dead and the injured to the hospital.

Health Minister Ahmed Emad el Din is closely following up the latest developments of the accident and inquire after the health condition of those injured.
