Egyptian Border guards thwarted infiltration and illegal immigration attempts by 294 people from July to August 8.
In a statement on Thursday, Military Spokesman Tamer Refai said border guards are exerting non-stop efforts to safeguard the state's borders.
He added that the forces dealt a sharp blow to smugglers and criminals by seizing amounts of drugs and weapons.
