Military hospitals have been put on alert to receive the people injured in the collision of two trains in Alexandria on Friday, said the Armed Forces.
Two giant cranes have been deployed by the army to help in lifting the damaged train carriages.
Military rescue teams, along with 15 ambulances, have been sent to the site of the train collision.
Military personnel were also deployed to assist security bodies in securing the site.
Scores of people were killed and injured in the crash.
