The UK embassy in Cairo has mourned the victims of a train collision that occurred in Alexandria on Friday and left scores dead and injured.

"The British Embassy in Cairo sends out its deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the fateful train accident in Alexandria and to all Egyptians," the embassy said on Facebook.
