Minister of Health Ahmed Emad said that the Cabinet reviewed at its meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail a plan for reducing population growth rates in Egypt.

In press statements after the meeting, the minister added that overpopulation is swallowing up all fruits of economic growth, he pointed out.

Directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at a recent youth conference were to work for reducing population growth rates, he added.
