Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi approved on Tuesday a new batch of army conscripts (January 2018 Stage) whose applications will be received as of September 27.

In a press conference, Director General of Recruitment and Mobilization Department Ashraf Attia said recruits should have a high school degree, its equivalents or a technical education diploma or people with no qualifications.

Army recruitment offices across the nation will receive applicants from October 10 while medical tests will be performed from November 2 to 23, he said.

Medical tests are necessary to see whether they are fit for military service or not.

Applicants should present copies of their educational certificates, criminal status record, blood group and birthday certificate.
