Egypt occupied 52nd place in research and development on the Global Innovation Index among 115 world nations for 2017, up from 54th place in 2016, according to the scientific research index for July 2017.
Egypt came number 105 on the general index for innovation, two places higher than last year. The innovation index is one of the complex ones comprising 81 indices including economic status, infrastructure, intellectual rights and others.
