Egypt has been unanimously selected to chair the Delta Coalition during its upcoming session.

This came on the sidelines of the second ministerial conference of Delta Coalition which is taking place in Dhaka on July 28-29.

Argentina's request to join the coalition was also approved during the meeting, taking the number of the member states to 13.

Addressing the meeting, Egypt's Irrigations and Water Resources Minister Mohammed Abdel Aati shed light on challenges facing the Nile Delta along with the importance of boosting cooperation among the coalition members.
