Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calls on Saudi King Salman to have the 18 people who were arrested in Saudi Arabia over the murder of Jamal Khashoggi tried in Turkey.

Saudi Arabia initially denied any knowledge of his disappearance but later admitted he was killed inside the consulate. On Sunday, the kingdom's foreign minister officially called the killing "murder."

The country said a total of 18 people have been arrested in connection with the case.

Erdogan said earlier in the same speech held in Ankara that officials from Riyadh's consulate in Istanbul and a team from Saudi Arabia planned Khashoggi's murder days in advance.
