The family courts will start sitting officially on the 10th of September 2017, said the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

It called upon lawyers and litigators to attend the hearing sessions at the new headquarters of the Family Courts Complex in Hunainya.

Courts director Mohammed Bucheeri said that the family reconciliation bureau would start work at the headquarters located in West Riffa on September 6.

The other sections will also start work on September 6, including the Alimony Fund, the Obligations and Grants.

The three-storey complex comprises 16 courts, In addition to the family reconciliation offices, the Obligations and Grants, the Alimony Fund and other sections.
