Head of the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council Magdi Abul Ela received Wednesday the Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Jean-Paul Laborde and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Abul Ela emphasized the importance of cooperation between all countries across the globe to combat terrorism, pointing out that the fight against terrorism is achieved through good parenting, education, mass media and religious discourse. 
He also stated that the Egyptian security services and Armed Fores are doing their best to fight terrorism, adding that Al Azhar under Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el Tayyeb and the Egyptian Church under Pope Tawadros II are exerting strenuous efforts on countering extremist ideas.
