Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Wednesday with permanent delegates of the member states of UNESCO Executive Board on the sidelines of his current visit to Paris.
The meeting aimed at mobilizing support for Egypt’s nominee for the UNESCO’s secretary general post Ambassador Mushira Khattab, who was present at the meeting. 
Earlier this month, the African Union announced its support for Khattab to assume the top UNESCO post.
