Paris - Egypt Today
France, under President Emmanuel Macron, chose to be a strategic partner to Egypt and it is determined to open a new stage of economic cooperation with it, the French economy minister said.
In statements to MENA Wednesday, Bruno Le Maire termed his meeting with President Abdel Fatteh El Sisi today as "very constructive and positive".
He also thanked Sisi for the efforts he exerted to remove obstacles facing French investors and to step up bilateral cooperation in the civil and military fields.
France is ready to invest in Egypt's mega projects in the fields of water, transportation, energy and telecommunications, he said.
Le Maire further said he will lead a French businessmen delegation to Egypt within months to give a push to economic projects in Egypt.
He also praised the economic reform program adopted by the Egyptian government to boost the Egyptian economy and increase exports.
