The Saudi Interior Ministry's security spokesman said that on Sunday as part of his periodic inspection tours, the Deputy Governor of Asir Region, accompanied by officials in the region, boarded a helicopter to tour a number of coastal projects west of Abha city. 

While returning in the evening of the same day, contact with the plane was lost in the vicinity of the Reda reserve. The authorities are currently searching for survivors as the wreckage has been found.
