Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar gave orders to intensify security during Eidul Adha celebrations, especially at prayers yards and vital complexes and facilities, a security source said on Wednesday.

In statements to MENA on Wednesday, the source said security forces will strictly deal with any attempt to break the law.

The Interior Ministry was placed on high alert to secure Eidul Adha celebrations.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting last week with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of ministers, including Abdel Ghaffar, to review the government's preparations for Eidul Adha.
