Iraqi forces found a store related to ISIS containing materials used to make explosives in the eastern side of Mousl on Tuesday, according to a security source.
Iraqi officer Mozher Abdel Basset said, in a press statement, that Iraq’s intelligence authority reached to a commercial store in the city’s Nour district, saying that the store has a tunnel linked to a large room underground which contained material used to make explosives.
On the other hand, Iraqi officer Ahmed Abbas Al Ebeidi said, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that ISIS militants resume the establishment of cement barriers before the districts adjacent to the Tigris River in the western side.
He added that the extremist group aims to secure its strongholds in the city and prevent the troops from passing from the eastern side to its sites in the western area.
In the same context, sources in Mousl said that the leadership of “We Are Coming Nineveh” operation considers currently the plans submitted by the military leaders to storm the city’s right bank and to eliminate the extremist group. It added that they take into account the guarantees to protect the citizens and their possessions.
The hospitals and health centers in Mousl’s eastern side have been destructed during the recent days due to the increasing battles witnessed there. The patients turn to the hospitals existed in the Kurdish city of Arbil.
