The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) has announced that Arafat Day will fall on August 31. 
The Greater Bairam is estimated to start on September 1, said NRIAG chairman Hatem Ouda in statements to MENA Monday. 
NRIAG calculations have shown that the month of Zul Qada, which started today, will last for 30 days, Ouda added.
