Secretary General of the(OIC) Yousef bin Ahmad Al Othaimeen

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef bin Ahmad al Othaimeen said Monday that an emergency meeting at the level of foreign ministers will be held in early August in Istanbul to discuss the latest developments in Al Quds city and Al Aqsa Mosque compound.
Giving a word at the beginning of an emergency meeting of the OIC Committee of Permanent Representatives, OIC's Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and Al Quds Affairs Samir Bakr Diab, on behalf of Othaimeen, said that the issue al Aqsa Mosque in al Quds city is a "red line", adding that any violation against al Aqsa Mosque under any circumstances will have grave repercussions and destabilize the region.
In a statement by the OIC General Secretariat, a copy of which MENA obtained, Othaimeen said what took place in Al Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli side aimed at taking full control of the mosque and starting to divide it spatially and temporally, similar to Al Ibrahimi Mosque.
The Israeli side is unprecedentedly stepping up its schemes aiming at Judaizing Al Quds, particularly after the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)'s adoption of a resolution that acknowledges Al Aqsa Mosque to be an exclusively Islamic holy site.
