Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the committee on securing ports and crossings in the presence of Transport Minister Hisham Arafat.

The meeting, attended by the customs authority head, reviewed the current status of the state's plan to secure ports and crossings.

The premier issued directives to expedite the plan's first phase and to remove any obstacles facing related financial allocations.
