Sudan affirmed on Thursday its commitment to apply all international and regional human rights agreements in order to create an environment in which implementing such rights would be guaranteed.

Minister of Justice Idris Ibrahim Jameel has delivered Sudan's speech at the 36th session of UN Human Rights Council on Thursday in Geneva.

Jameel told Sudan News Agency that he urged the international community and Human Rights Council to help Sudan to achieve its objectives for which the independent expert has been appointed, especially those pertinent to technical assistance, building abilities to improve human rights environment.

Jameel underlined positive points mentioned in the Independent Export's report as well as points in which he attacked Sudan and some others which he might be deliberately disregarded to mention them.

Jameel pointed out that a real progress has been achieved in human rights file in Sudan after formation of Government of National Accord.

Sudan is doing its best in the areas of combating organized crimes and human trafficking, he said adding that Sudan is hosting more than a million refugees of different nationalities at a time the international community is reluctant to fulfill its commitments on refugees.
