Traffic on Benha- Mansoura highway came to a standstill on Monday when a truck loaded with gravel fell into Rayah Taufiqi (canal).
The truck fell into Rayah Taufiqi (canal) near the highway in front of Kafr Shokr district as a result of a land slide on the Rayah Taufiqi (canal) side.
El Qalyubia Security Director General Mohamed Tawfiq Hamzawy received a report on the accident reportedly after the driver lost control over the steering wheel as a result of the land slide.
The vehicle is being pulled out of the canal and the Public Prosecution launched an investigation into the incident.
