Transport Minister  inspected on Friday the site of a train collision in Korshid area in eastern Alexandria.

Arafat called for forming a committee from the Transport Ministry and the Egyptian Railways Authority to determine the cause behind the train crash.

Also, he ordered removing the wreckage of the accident and easing the train movement.

The Armed Forces dispatched a team led by Commander of the Northern Military Region General Ali Ashmawi to help move the victims.

Undersecretary of the Health Ministry in Alexandria Magdy Hegazy asserted the availability of sufficient blood bags and medical supplies in Alexandria hospitals and made sure that the injured people are receiving the necessary medical care.
