Geneva - Egypt Today
Yemen's Human Rights Minister Dr. Mohammed Askar has demanded the Geneva-based human rights council to implement its decision pledging to provide technical support for the Yemeni national committee for investigation.
In a symposium organized by the Arab British Centre for Strategic Studies and Development in Geneva titled "Yemen at crossroads: present and future challenges", he reviewed the violations committed by the Houthi and pro-Saleh militias against the unarmed and innocent Yemeni people.
He said the militias have 480 detention centres, including underground jails and incarceration centres, noting the deterioration of health of the detainees and their families since the spread of cholera epidemic in Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
