North Korea on Tuesday launched a ballistic missile from its western region into the sea off its east coast, South Korea’s Army said .
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Lee Sun-jin said the missile was fired from the west region in the sea off the east coast of its coast, adding that the missile flew a distance of about 930 kilometers.
Meanwhile, South Korean president Moon Jae-in held an emergency meeting Tuesday with the government to discuss the consequences of North Korea’s firing of a ballistic missile.
Japan’s Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) reported that the defense ministry said North Korea fired a ballistic missile Tuesday morning that likely landed in Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
