The assistant interior minister for northern Upper Egypt and the Minya security chief inaugurated on Saturday eastern Samalut police station.
This came upon directives of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar to establish a separate eastern Samalut police station away from the western Samalut one. 
The action falls within the framework of the interior ministry's strategy aiming at upgrading security system and services provided for the public.
