 Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received a telephone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel
During the conversation, they exchanged viewpoints on how to develop bilateral multi-field ties between the two friendly countries and looked into how to reinforce coordination in what pertains to regional developments, particularly the discontinued relations with the State of Qatar.
Shaikh Khalid expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hope that the state of Qatar would positively respond to its brethren countries’ demands which aim to consolidate security and stability in the region as a whole and meet common interests, through the good offices of His Highness the Amir of the brotherly State of Kuwait, Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He also stressed zero leniency in confronting serious challenges, topped by terrorism, saying that solidarity and joint efforts are needed to eliminate terrorism and counter its funders and supporters.
In his turn, the German minister vowed his country’s support to the ongoing efforts to put an end to the crisis and preserve security and peace in the region.
