Bangladesh police are trying to confirm the names of the attackers of a Dhaka restaurant, according to deputy police commisioner of the Dhaka police.
Police are also checking whether the identification of some on social media by friends and family is correct, Sky News quoted Masudur Rahman as saying Monday.
Posts on Facebook citing friends identified three of the six attackers who were killed.
Nine attackers took diners at a restaurant hostage in the Bengali capital. Twenty people, mostly Japanese and Italians, were killed when security forces attacked the restaurant after 12 hours to set the hostages free.
