Cairo - Egypt Today
The China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) is studying to establish automated slaughterhouses in Egypt to benefit from Egyptian leather and animal wealth.
Automated slaughterhouse should help increase the value-added of raw leather and reduce the amount of leather wasted in manual slaughter.
The Egyptian council of leather exports had already met with CLIA officials and representatives of a number of leather companies to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt, said Ahmed Shawrat, the head of the council, in statements to MENA Monday.
China is interested in partnering with Egyptian leather tanning companies in el Rubaiki city, Shawrat noted.
