Russian Trade and Industry Minister Denis Manturov stressed that relations between Egypt and Russia are progressing on steady steps despite tensions in the Middle East.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid tweeted that talks between Ranturov and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, currently on a European tour, dealt with boosting economic, investment and industrial cooperation between Egypt and Russia.
The two sides also dealt with Russian investments in the petroleum and natural gas domains in Egypt as well the Russian industrial zone to be set up in Suez Canal Development Corridor.
Shoukry's tour includes Russia, Estonia and Lithuania.
