Italy’s Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano on Tuesday said the Egyptian efforts to put an end to the Libyan crisis are indispensable.

In televised statements, Alfano said he will meet with Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in September.

The return of the Italian ambassador to Cairo would contribute to intensifying dialogue with Egypt, the Italian diplomat said.
