Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday made a phone with his French counterpart Jean Yves le Drian.

The phone call comes ahead of a runoff vote between the candidates of Egypt and France for the UNESCO’s director general post.

The winner will compete with Qatar’s candidate in the final round.
