Baghdad - Arab Today
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry voiced upset over the remarks made by Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan during his visit to Washington describing Iraq as a divided, collapsed and unjust country.
In statements on Saturday, Iraqi Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Gamal said the war on terrorism and the attacks on Turkish territories required enhancement of partnership and cooperation in eradicating terrorism away from interfering in other countries' internal affairs.
The governing system in Iraq is based on balanced democratic bases, added the spokesman, noting that Iraqi people have given an example on their unity by fighting against any terrorist groups on their territories.
