Addressing a press conference, French Ambassador to Egypt said the two countries share the same point of view on counterterrorism strategies and measures necessary to punish state sponsors of terrorism.

In the context of the Qatari crisis, the diplomat said the crisis hits an already-divided Arab world. He said Paris is ready for new initiatives to find solutions.

Asked about Paris’ intention to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organization, the ambassador said the decision shall not be solely adopted by one country as it shall be taken by the EU.
