Omani Minister of Defense Bad bin Masoud al Bousaidi, now visiting the US, met with US Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy David Trachtenberg in the Pentagon.

According to the Omani news agency, the two sides discussed means of boosting joint military cooperation and other issues of mutual concern.

The US official lauded the level of military cooperation with Oman and expressed readiness to enhance this cooperation to the best interest of both sides.

Bousaidi started an official several-day visit to the US on November 23.
