The Israeli army on Wednesday announced the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron a closed military zone and banned access of Palestinians to perform prayers.
The Israeli occupants claimed that military orders have been issued for closing the holy site after a group of settlers attacked a Palestinian house adjacent to the Ibrahimi mosque and claimed the possession of it.
Israeli occupation forces issued a decision to consider the area of "Beit Abu Ragab" in Hebron a closed military zone till a political decision is taken in this regard.
On Tuesday, as many as 100 settlers stormed several-storey building owned by a Palestinian family and raised the Israeli flag over it.
