Israeli bulldozers removed ancient tiles outside Al-Aqsa Mosque, a new measure that provoked Muslims following a wave of violence in the holy city of Al-Quds.
A curtain was used to conceal the removal process which came two days after similar acts to establish power lines and poles in the area.
Israel has placed CCTV cameras to monitor worshipers who come to the mosque. Earlier, the occupation authorities removed metal detectors following deadly protests from residents and foreign pressure.
Palestinian political factions have called for further protests on Friday against the Israeli escalation in the holy city.
