An Israeli soldier was moderately injured Tuesday night during an operation in Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee Camp near the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Palestinian sources said.
The Israeli army said the soldier was injured by friendly fire as occupation forces were carrying out arrests in the West Bank.
The injured soldier, who belongs to the elite "Duvdevan" unit which is specialized in urban combat, was taken to the hospital.
Three Palestinians were wounded during the operation, including one in a critical condition.
