For the eighth consecutive day, worshipers continued Saturday to refrain from entering Al Aqsa mosque through the electronic gates set up by the Israeli occupation forces at the entrances to the mosque.
The director of the mosque Sheikh Omar Al Kiswani said that worshipers performed Fajr prayers outside the walls of the mosque, adding that they will continue their sit-in until the electronic gates were removed and the extreme security measures by the Israeli forces were cancelled.
Meanwhile, the Israeli forces arrested dozens of prominent Palestinian Fatah movement leaders in the holy city.
On the other hand, the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel blamed at its meeting in the city of Nazareth on Friday evening, the Israeli government for the bloodshed in Al Quds and demanded the removal of the electronic gates, stressing that the Israeli presence in the mosque is illegal.
