The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said 16 Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli forces near Lions' Gate and Wadi al Joz in occupied Al Quds at dawn Tuesday.
Six were transferred to the hospital and 10 were treated at the scene, it added.
In a brief statement, the PRCS said that the Israeli occupation forces captured an injured person from an ambulance near Al Sawana neighborhood while he was being transferred to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Issa Qaraqe said the Israeli police arrested 160 Al Quds residents, mostly boys and minors during the past five days, as well as several activists outside Al Aqsa mosque and the old city.
Qaraqe pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities enacted more laws to arrest children, adding that those who were accused of throwing stones may be sentenced to two years in prison.
He said the annual rate of child arrests increased from 700 to 1200.
