Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit conferred on Monday with UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on the latest developments in the Yemeni crisis and efforts exerted to work out a peaceful settlement for the long-standing conflict.
The UN envoy briefed Abul Gheit on his latest moves in this regard.
The meeting comes ahead of a consultative meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates who will be briefed by the UN envoy on the latest updates in the Yemeni crisis.
